I would like to explain WHY this cause is so important to me. In 2002, my grandmother lost her fight with Alzheimer's. She suffered for several years before this Disease finally took her. A few months ago, my grandfather (same one who lost his wife to the disease) was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. He is losing more and more of himself everyday. I hope that with donations, funding, and help, that our children are able to live without the fear of Alzheimer's. On October 5th, 2013 Busy Bee Photography will be walking in the 2013 Walk to End Alzheimer's. Halloween Prop Just Arrived!!!

Yes I know its still August BUT I love Halloween! I had the greatest inspiration for a candy corn newborn session from a photographer I love, Jenn Tuttle! She gave me the idea for to order the candy corn newborn set! Now my idea is a little different than hers but I still wanted to give her credit! She is the reason, after all, that I wanted to try this type of session at all!  Here is the prop set!(please excuse the phone photo!)

The little ruffle hat is REVERSIBLE! It can be frilly for a girl, flip it over and its just a candy corn hat for a little guy! I love her work!

Tiny Peek from Brie and Jeremy's Maternity Session!

Tonight was Brie and Jeremy's Maternity session! They opted for a sunset session and I think it works so perfectly for them! Jeremy was such a gentleman the whole shoot! I made his poor 9 month pregnant mommy to be, hike all over the field area. He was by her side making sure she was perfectly safe. Can you say ADORABLE?!? Brie is such a breathtaking mommy to be! I am so happy that I will be able to photograph her little ones journey into the world! <3

Oh no! What do I wear?????

As a photographer I get asked (usually the night before a session)

WHAT DO I WEAR?

Now my normal response is: Where what represents yourself and your family! Find a good color combination but don't dress exactly the same! We are all unique individuals and I LOVE showing that off!

Sometimes you need a little more help! (I know I would! Funny right?)

SO here is an example of color combinations and how to use them for a family! All of these were (at one point) available at GAP and Old Navy!

You can see in the photo how you can mix and match but still have a cohesive palate for your familys session! It gives the eye more to look at and less resembles the 1990s! Mind you, that they are YOUR photos, so if you want to wear a purple and lime green feathers dress....GO FOR IT! Everyone has the right to be themselves. I am just lucky enough to capture a second of their amazing story!

Let Them Eat Cake!

Had such an amazing session with little Lyric!!! Her second birthday session was "Let them Eat Cake!"

Lyric may not have dived into the sweets as her famous counterpart might have, BUT she certainly beat her in adorableness! The set was full of cakes, cupcakes and cookies! YUM! We even threw in some bubbles!

Let me just say her outfit was ADORABLE. I wonder if i could get away with the outfit? Probably not.

I would like to know....what would be a must have for your Let them Eat Cake session?

Little Boy Bentley!

I had so much fun working with this AMAZING family! Bentley was a perfect little ham! PLUS look at his little tooshy! Don't you just want to squeeze it!?!?!? He is such a little sweetheart. I was also lucky enough to be his photographer for his first birthday party! There was so much love there!
